An Ijoist is a composite joist manufactured by connecting a wood top and bottom flange and a OSB web together to form a structural member whose cross section resembles the upper-case letter "I".
 
Some features of ijoist include:
 
  • Ijiost are lightweight and easy to handle.  A 28 ft ijoist weighs approximately 50 lbs

 

  • With a number of depths and series available, there are a lot of options to handle most loading conditions

 

  • No bridging required -saves labor and material

 

  • Consistently straight and uniform in dimension

 

  • Ijoist can be used in structures requiring rated and sound assemblies
